Portrait of Emma Brunken.When Emma Brunken was born on November 9, 1889, Columbus, Nebraska, her father, Gerd, was 48 and her mother, Sophie, was 42. She married Fredinand "Fred" Mihulka on October 22, 1912, in Platte Center, Nebraska. They had seven children during their marriage. She died on January 23, 1968, at the age of 78.
